This time I choose Rotation not Location: I hit “Shift + Left Arrow” to return to the first frame, rotate my donut to a nice-looking angle along the Z-axis (10 degrees in my case), and hit “I” to add a keyframe at frame 1. Tip: With the timeline at the bottom of the window selected, you can hit “Control + T” to switch from Frames to Seconds (and back). Going to “Playback” and changing “Sync” from “Play Every Frame” to “Frame Dropping” will play the animation back at full speed, dropping frames that cannot be rendered in time:īlender may struggle to do rendering in real-time, so the on-screen movement may be slower than the expected 30 FPS unless we turn on frame-dropping. If you paid very close attention, you might notice that the donut moves more slowly than we would expect for 30 FPS (in my case, the whole movement should be completed in under 2 seconds, but appears to take longer when previewing in Blender). You can find the original post on along with others in this series): Playing the animation back should now show something like this (if you are reading this in PDF format, the below image is a. Tip: You can return to the start of the playback timeline with “Shift + Left Arrow”, then hit “Spacebar” to start the animation You should move the donut and then set another keyframe (again by hitting “I”), perhaps 30 or 40 frames after your initial keyframe: At 30 FPS, this will result in an 8.3-second animation.Īlong the timeline, we can insert “Keyframes”, which - among other things - mark the location an object should be at when a given frame is reached: The start and end frames on the timeline window at the bottom show the total number of frames in the animation (you can adjust this as needed). 29.97 or 30 FPS for television and films (and a lot of phones and cameras)īlender Guru used 60 FPS for his animation because he likes the “hyper-real” feel of it, but it’s very taxing to render 60 FPS, so he recommends 30 FPS, as a reasonable alternative:.24 FPS is standard for big-budget movies. To show the playback view, I switched to “Layout” from Blender’s top menu bar, dragged the bottom window up to enlarge it, and chose “Timeline” as shown here:īefore we start editing, we should choose a framerate (measured in FPS - frames per second) as well. When animating, we will need the ability to see and manipulate the timeline for the animation. ![]() In general “high” focal length “flattens” things by compressing the depth of the scene, while you can get a more exaggerated “fisheye” look (emphasize the depth) by setting a “low” focal length. We will also adjust the focal length of the camera to 40mm to give the donut an enhanced sense of “depth” as it rotates: Next, we adjust the camera settings to change the aspect ratio and resolution. Orient the donut at an angle to the camera, like so: Choose “Object” from the menu that comes up (see below).Hit “Control + P” to confirm the relationship.“Shift + Left Click” on the object we want to set as the “parent”.Click on the “child” object, by left-clicking on it in the viewport. We “parent” one object to another like this: Setting the icing’s “parent” to be the body of the donut means that the icing will rotate and move with the donut, whenever the donut is rotated or moved. To make it easier to rotate the donut around, we want to “parent” the icing to the donut, meaning that objects will track (follow) each other when rotated or moved. Tip: You can set the camera to your current viewing angle by clicking “View -> Align View -> Align Camera To View” (from the “View” menu) We will need to adjust the camera settings and the rotation of the donut, to get things set up the way we want. They don't make any money on pumps that last 30 years. ![]() That is the exact goal of the manufacturer. But hey it only cost 600-700 bucks, so just replace it every few months when it starts acting up. There sure are lots of problems discussed in the reviews of this product for it not to even be a year old. But I don't see that symptom in any of the instructions. With other Grundfos products like the SQE, when the pressure transducer fails the pump reverts to cycling on and off as if it had a regular pressure switch. It doesn't sound like the variable speed part is working at all. ![]() I see where others who had that same problem added some air to the tank, and it seemed to help some. There is a lot of sales information on that pump, but very little on technical instructions. I am wondering if adding a pressure reducing valve to the supply side to keep the pressure at 40 (maybe even set it to 35) might resolve the issue? I do notice that sometimes my incoming pressure is 40, others its 45, sometimes even 50. Could this be caused by fluctuating incoming pressure. Anyone know what it should be set to for incoming pressure of 40 and outgoing of 70?ģ. Could it be the internal pressure tank? It is precharged at the factory to 18.5 psi. Does anyone know what causes this issue?Ģ. I have 10 more days to return it for a full refund, so if I cannot get it to work properly i will uninstall and perhaps go with a CSV type solution.ġ. But, I've got the SCALA2 installed and would like to try to make it work. I'll add that I have read the forums and understand there is some difference of opinion on VFDs and grundfos pumps. I've had 5 taps open at once all at 70psi, so when it works its pretty cool. I open another tap and it seamlessly keeps the pressure constant. ![]() I open a tap and it runs until the tap is closed. Players may vote for a rematch at the end of a game, provided they can meet the required wager. Players' standings may also increase or decrease. If a wager has been placed on the game, the Pieces of Eight will be distributed according to the Payout type setting. The player with the least points wins the game. The game ends as soon as one or more player reaches the score limit. Additionally, one can not play a heart card or the queen of spades on the very first trick. *Note that heart cards must be 'broken' (played previously) before they can be led, or the player must have nothing but heart cards in his or her hand. Play continues in this fashion until all 13 tricks have been taken, after which the round is over and player scores are totalled up. They now lead the next trick, choosing any card they wish*. Once all players have played one card, the trick is complete, and the person with the highest ranking card in the original (led) suit wins it. Unlike spades, hearts has no trump suit, and thus if a player can not place a higher card of the led suit on the table then that player can not win the trick. The highest card of the led suit will win the trick. The tricks work according to standard trick taking rules - a player must put down a card of the same suit if they can (or follow suit), but are otherwise free to play any card. Play revolves in a clock-wise fashion after all cards are passed: the player to the left of the person who led the 2 of clubs plays a card, followed by the player to their left and so on. There are 13 tricks per round, thus in each round all of the 52 cards are played. Since neither East nor West had any diamonds remaining, and South's diamond had a higher value than North's, South wins the trick.Ī trick is a set of four cards, one played by each player. North has led with the 2 of diamonds in this trick. Left, right, across, hold - the same as above, with no pass on the fourth round. ![]()
![]() At these frequencies, radiated EMI from switching regulators is produced mainly by switching voltage ringing and spikes, and can depend heavily on PCB board layout. ![]() Industry standards for radiated emissions usually cover the frequency band from 30 MHz to 1 GHz. In a switch-mode supply, radiated EMI is usually generated by high dv/dt noise at the switching nodes. There are two major type of EMI: radiated and conducted. Different Types of EMI: Radiated and Conducted Noise, Common Mode, and Differential Mode To speed up the process of EMI filter design to meet EMI specifications, this article shows how conducted EMI noise analysis and filter design can be easily estimated and prebuilt using ADI’s LTpowerCAD ® program. Unfortunately, EMI analysis and filter design can be a difficult task, typically requiring a time-consuming iterative process of design, build, testing, and redesign-that is, assuming one has proper test equipment. To meet these limits for a switch-mode supply, one must first quantify its EMI performance and, if necessary, add proper input EMI filtering to attenuate the EMI. Because of this, many standards have arisen to set acceptable limits on EMI. The problem is that high frequency noise can couple to other devices in the system, degrading the performance of sensitive analog or digital signal circuits. Fast turn-on and turn-off of power transistors create sudden interruptions of current flow, resulting in high frequency voltage ringing and spikes. For example, the input side switch current of a typical buck converter is a pulsating current rich in harmonic content. This is commonly referred to as electromagnetic interference (EMI), EMI noise, or just noise. One side effect of the proliferation of switch-mode supplies is the noise they produce. Switch-mode power supplies are used throughout modern electronics systems mainly because of their high efficiency power conversion.
